Scholarships
The Idaho Sheriffs' Association (ISA) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation and all donations to the scholarship fund are tax deductible. We typically award two new scholarships a year and continue funding existing scholarships until the student graduates or fails to meet the minimum requirements for scholarship awards. The board of directors of ISA have significant latitude in awarding or continuing scholarships. The applicant's GPA and overall character development as well as their previous school/community involvement weigh heavily in the decision making process. Please click the appropriate links to access the cover sheet and application requirements. The closing date for new and continuing applications is June 29, 2012.
Continuing Scholarships Requirements: Those students who have received a scholarship must submit an application each year to receive a continuing scholarship. Continuing applicants shall submit the following to remain eligible to receive a scholarship:
1. sealed transcripts from the previous year
2. cover page from this website (every year)
3. letter noting your major and minor area of studies and any other information you feel pertinent.
You will be notified of your continuing award, however the funds will not be sent to your school until after school starts. In order to receive funds, your school must send to ISA an enrollment verification letter after school begins verifying that you are a full time registered student with your class schedule attached. It is your responsibility to notify your school that scholarship funds will be made available to them upon receipt of the documents noted above.
Please contact Vaughn Killeen for clarification of any issues. Continuing applicants must provide updated information listed above by the deadline to remain eligible for continuing scholarships. You will not be considered for a scholarship if you don't supply items 1, 2 and 3 by the listed closing date.
Congratulations to these students who are continuing their education at various universities. They are recipients of the Sheriffs' Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the Idaho Sheriffs' Association for the 2011-2012 school year.

Idaho Off Highway Vehicle Program is sponsored by Parks and Recreation and provides funding to sheriffs who enforce violations involving 4-wheelers and other motorized off-road machines. An additional fee of $1.00 is charged at registration and can be designated by the registrant to go to the county where the person recreates. However, sheriffs must have an approved enforcement and education program in place to receive the funds.
